Insurance cover

A Business travel insurance^*, covering you and any additional card holders at no additional cost for your business trips and holidays. Policy covers basic travel requirements including any equipment you may take with you on your business travels, such as a laptop. Full details are available on Business Travel Insurance Policy.
Insurance cover for up to 15 minutes on money withdrawn from ATM/Deposit machines and during the deposit of money in ATM/Deposit machines^*
Any purchases which you make with your Visa Business card will be covered by a Purchase Protection^* cover at no additional cost. Full details are available from the Purchase Protection Insurance Policy.

^*The Business Travel Insurance and the Purchase Protection cover are provided by Atlas Insurance PCC.

If you need any assistance whilst abroad, the Visa Global Customer Assistance Service is also available to you as a Business Credit Card holder, offering the following facilities:

What you need to know

If you complete a ‘Contact Us’ request, you will be contacted by your preferred branch within two working days
The Credit Card is available to registered businesses (with VAT registration number) including sole traders, partnerships or companies, provided the business meets our policy requirements
Subject to approval – minimum limit of €700
You must be over 18 years old

Our HSBC Business Cards have been purposely designed for businesses like yours and give you immediate and easy access to your money. These cards are easy to use and are an ideal way to keep track of your day to day expenses. HSBC Business Cards can be used for all your business needs and expenses, such as petrol, travel, hotels and restaurants, building materials, office supplies and equipment.

You can benefit from up to 56 days interest free period on all purchases completed, as detailed on the HSBC Business Card Conditions of Use.

The annual card fee is €56. For information on other charges, please see Card Standard Account fees or the General Tariff.

Yes, your card is a secure way of buying goods and services over the phone and on the internet. We use Visa Secure to help protect your card when shopping online. However please check that the site you are buying from is secure by looking for the closed padlock symbol.

Visa Secure is provided to you by Visa and HSBC. It helps to protect you from fraud when you shop online and prevents unauthorised use of your card.

Payments can be made in the following manner:

By giving your Branch instructions to direct debit an account to settle either the monthly minimum repayment or the outstanding balance in full
By using HSBC internet banking service
By sending us a cheque by post
By effecting a transfer by Debit card at any of our local ATMs
By depositing cash/cheque at any of our offices
By giving instructions to your Branch to make a transfer to your Credit Card Account

The minimum payment shall be the greater of €12 or 5% of the outstanding balance shown on your e-statement/statement.

Cash advances: Interest is charged on the balance outstanding from the date the transactions are posted to the account until the balance is paid in full.

Purchases: up to 56 days of interest free credit as per HSBC Business Cards Conditions of Use.

If you miss your payment date in the first month, a fee of €5 may be charged to your account, and interest will be charged on the overdue balance on a daily basis until the outstanding payment is paid in full. You may be charged with €15 monthly thereafter until payment is regularised. If you keep on missing payment dates, your account may be suspended and legal action may be taken to recover the outstanding amount.
